JOB DESCRIPTION


We are currently working closely with an SEND school based in Newton Aycliffe, who are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team.

The school specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health support for children aged years. The school has recently been rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and is a lovely environment to work/learn in.

The successful applicant will need to be resilient and adaptable to provide each child with the best possible support.


JOB ROLE

  • Providing targeted support outside of the classroom
  • Work on differentiated activities with groups of students
  • Liaise with the SENCO/Inclusion manager to deliver SEN provision
  • Developing social/emotional skills (depending on individual need)
  • Working with teachers to monitor progress of pupils
  • Accompanying pupils to relevant therapy sessions (depending on individual need)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
One of the following or equivalent Level 3 qualifications in supporting teaching and learning:

  • NNEB Diploma
  • BTEC Diploma in Nursery Nursing
  • CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education or Supporting teaching and learning
  • Willingness to undertake further appropriate training (including first aid)

JOB CANDIDATE

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Driving license is preferred however not essential
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Resilience

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm


Salary:
£80.00-£100.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
