    Description

    IT Support Engineer

    Salary: £25,000-£30,000

    Location: Manchester

    My client, a large MSP based in Manchester, are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their ever-growing team. You will play a critical role in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organisation. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, responding to service requests, and ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Provide desk-side and remote based end-user support to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment and/or systems.
    • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
    • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
    • Assist with user account management and password resets
    • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
    • Escalate complex issues to second-line support when necessary.
    • Administering Microsoft 365.
    • Undertaking ad-hoc projects as instructed by the IT Manager and Management Team.
    • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • 2+ years' experience in a 1st/2nd line support role
    • Good knowledge and experience of ITIL Best Practice
    • Knowledge and experience of working with support of Active Directory, MS exchange, Office 365, Windows 10/11, VPN
    • Familiarity with basic networking principles and troubleshooting - DNS, DCHP, TCP/IP
    • Passionate about IT and providing customer service
