Job Description £51,000 | Shifts - 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

We are delighted to be working with a well-established and niche FMCG | Food Manufacturing business based in the Manchester area.

Due to recent growth and large investments of circa £4m, the factory is booming and therefore looking to bring on board an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to be a part of their growth and success

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production is running smoothly and efficiently by rectifying any machinery breakdowns and working as part of a team on continuous improvement projects and PPMs.

The site has a big push on continuous improvement projects which has resulted in fewer breakdowns over the years.

Working on machinery and equipment breakdowns to ensure production is up and running.
Routine and Preventative Maintenance as planned on a CMMS system.
Continuous Improvement Projects.
Diagnosing and rectifying Electrical faults.
Working alongside the Project and Automation team and supporting new improvement ideas.
Conducting frequent quality checks on machinery and equipment.
Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
Assist with moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment on site.

Electrical-based apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Proven Experience working within an FMCG | Food Manufacturing Industry (catering, food service, and wholesalers would also be fine).

Ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively within the team and production.
Basic to advanced experience with PLCs would be beneficial.
