Description
The opportunity at hand is supported by a distinguished project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Department for Transport (DfT) under the 'UK National Clean Maritime Research Hub.' This initiative brings together a network of over 80 institutions ranging from universities to industry partners, local authorities, and international entities. These collaborative efforts involve various stakeholders such as shipping firms, ports, equipment suppliers, fuel producers, and civic organizations.
In this role, you will hold a key position within the project, focusing on tasks like developing and implementing chemical processes for potential future maritime fuels. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and validating optimal combustion processes through the utilization of advanced optical measurement techniques.
To excel in this position, the following qualifications are required:
Research Fellows may also be called upon to contribute to educational or consultation activities to support the continual advancement of knowledge in the field.
This full-time role (37.0 hours per week) is open for applications from individuals interested in job sharing and extends until March 2027.
