The Learning Designer is responsible for guiding and supporting colleagues in the development of innovative and effective learning and teaching activities and learning content.

As such, the role of the Instructional Designer is pivotal in the delivery of an engaging, high quality, professional and flexible learning experience.


You will be fully conversant with the scholarship and pedagogies of engaging learning and teaching, the use of appropriate technologies to enhance learning and teaching, have a good understanding of accessibility in this context and be engaged with the wider community for inspiration, collaborative research and best practice dissemination.

You will be actively involved in scholarship already, or willing to become involved.


The role will be flexibly delivered, with Monday-Wednesday in the office and an option of Thursday and Friday working from home.

This role is fixed term for up to 5 months to provide maternity cover.
