    About the role: Pharmacist

    We are seeking a dynamic pharmacist to join our bustling hospital pharmacy team at Nightingale Hospital. Reporting to the pharmacy manager, the individual in this role will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications and offering valuable advice to our patients. This pivotal position requires close collaboration with consultant psychiatrists and other clinical staff members to ensure optimal patient care.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Main Duties

    • Maintaining exceptional clinical standards in pharmacy
    • Providing medicines information assistance to consultants
    • Delivering top-notch customer service to all patients
    • Ensuring meticulous record-keeping
    • Overseeing controlled drug storage in the pharmacy and hospital
    • Adhering to the latest practice guidelines
    • Assisting the pharmacy manager with daily operations
    • Promoting the positive image and company values of Nightingale Hospital

    Regularly communicating with the pharmacy manager to uphold the highest practice standards. Superior communication skills are essential for interactions with patients and colleagues.

    • Contributing to a positive team dynamic in the pharmacy
    • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance service provision

    Training and Development

    Supporting the Pharmacy Manager in ensuring completion of mandatory training, performance reviews, and annual appraisals.

    Health and Safety

    • Reporting any health and safety issues to the Pharmacy Manager
    • Following health and safety policies and procedures

    Who we're looking for

    Essential

    • Education/Qualifications
      • MPharm or equivalent
    • Work experience
      • Minimum two years working in mental health
    • Skills, knowledge, and aptitude
      • Ability to multitask and high expertise in mental health medicine
      • Deep understanding of psychotropic medications
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player

      • Effective communication and sensitivity
    • Requirements
      • GPhC registered pharmacist
