    Description

    Position: SEMH Behaviour Mentor at a Pupil Referral Unit in Islington

    Salary Range: £100-£115 per day

    Industry: Education

    Do you have experience as a Behaviour Mentor assisting KS3-KS4 students with SEMH?

    If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join us at a Pupil Referral Unit in Islington. We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Behaviour Mentor to support students facing barriers to learning due to SEMH needs and underprivileged backgrounds.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support students in developing resilience, independence, and emotional regulation.
    • Monitor behavior records and build positive relationships with students.
    • Assist students with social and emotional development activities.
    • Help students progress in various subjects and skills.
    • Provide 1:1 and group mentoring sessions to address emotional and social behavior progress.
    • Collaborate with staff, families, and external agencies to meet SEMH needs.
    • Promote good behavior and guide students towards taking responsibility for their actions.

    Requirements:

    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
    • Capacity to engage with students, staff, and parents professionally and calmly.
