As a Barclays IT Senior Business Analyst, you will responsible for client data within the bank on a cross-asset basis.

The team implements strategic change, future architectural planning, development and maintenance of strategic repositories which areboth in-house and vendor supplied.

The repositories source, validate and distribute reference data to all systems in the firm. The area is undergoing significant change with a number of high profile project initiatives.

What will you be doing?:


  • Translating stakeholder requirements and business strategy into executable plans, and seeing these through to implementation
  • Driving technical deliverables of the team and ensuring quality of delivery
  • Defining, heading and presenting key design requirements or changes to other/central Design Authorities across Barclays
  • Managing and resolving disputes, issues and risks
  • Defining and detailing data gaps, data requirements and data distribution methods
  • Identifying changes to the requirements and work with the Project Manager to raise and get approval for Change Requests
  • Providing input into the technical design process to ensure the design satisfies the business requirements
  • Assisting the test team and business users to carry out test planning, preparation and execution activities

What we're looking for:


  • Proven business and functional skills particularly in a data domain with the ability to analyse data, map data and design functional solutions in investment banking
  • Understanding of Agile Development Lifecycle (SCRUM), Lean Methodologies and Master Data Management (MDM) modelling and data integration, mastering, and distribution
  • Ability to identify, appropriately escalate issues & risks & consider solutions
  • Rally (Agile Central) and /or JIRA, MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint
  • Advanced, Visio
  • Intermediate, SQL
  • Basic Queries
