We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Statistics and Machine Learning.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The Opportunity:
The NeST programme grant is a mathematical collaboration on dynamic networks, a six-year, multi-million pound initiative across several UK institutions.
This postdoctoral position is one of several attached to the "Dynamic network embedding" stream, which is principally between Imperial and Edinburgh.
The role-holder will develop statistical theory and methodology relating to embedding dynamic networks, i.e., finding vector representations of the nodes, or nodes over time, and utilising these representations for various statistical tasks (e.g., clustering).
