    is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.

    Mayplas; a specialist insulation manufacturing business within SIG Group, produces a wide range of acoustic, fire and thermal insulation products.

    We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Sales who will manage our internal sales to ensure best practice, achievement of sales targets and margin and the delivery of quality customer service at all times.

    You will develop and monitor strategy and sales nationally for acoustic, fire and thermal products. What does the role involve?

    As Head of Sales , you will provide strategic leadership of the Sales Office and Internal Sales team in Mayplas, Bury, ensuring all the sales activities work towards the Company goals by achieving budgeted sales and margin and that costs are controlled within budget.

    You'll lead, organise and motivate the internal function, coordinating first level management to bring the team together with an understanding of branch and company goals and strategic steps for achieving them.

    Working in conjunction with the external business development team to gain and maintain full market knowledge of existing and potential architects, contractors, developers, distributors and merchants.

    Establishing a credible pipeline through specification and project tracking.

    The successful candidate will require:


    • Experience as an Internal Sales Leader with a proven track record of coaching and delivering sales targets, growth and profitability.
    • You to be a vocal and outgoing hands-on manager, leading from the front to drive performance.
    • To be a team player, be flexible, have a confident manner and be able to work under pressure.
    • Strong people development skills.
    • Proven negotiation and motivation skills, with the ability to demonstrate Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal skill.
    • A background in the Construction industry.
