- Course Overview:
- The NPLQ course offered by the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS UK) provides comprehensive training to become a Pool Lifeguard and opens doors to a variety of opportunities in the leisure industry. Candidates are required to be in top physical condition, have keen senses, and possess self-discipline. The course equips you with essential skills including Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguard Theory, First Aid, and CPR. It is an intense but rewarding experience that includes swimming challenges, casualty handling, and deep-water diving.
- Course Prerequisites:
- 16+ years old at the time of assessment.
- Swimming capabilities: diving, 50m in 60 seconds, 100m continuously on front and back, treading water, surface diving, and pool exit techniques.
- Course Assessment:
- Continuous evaluation of syllabus and practical skills with a final independent assessment covering theory, water rescue, CPR, and First Aid.
- Course Details:
- Location: Metrodome Leisure Centre - S71 1AN.
- Times: 8.00 am onwards.
- Dates: Sunday 28th July to Friday 02nd August 2024.
- Assessment: Friday 02nd August.
