    Overview

    The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving business growth and strong performance of Retirement & Superannuation Solutions in the UK (R&SS UK).

    The position will play a significant role in the strategic planning, management and implementation of strategic initiatives to meet client needs, ensure retention and optimise client relationships.

    This senior leadership team role has a responsibility for helping to achieve Link's strategic priorities and building a high-performing culture and a great place to work.

    Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

    Strategic Focus

    • Deliver the client strategy and sustainable business performance adjusting as appropriate to ensure alignment with current and future client needs.
    • Deliver R&SS UK's objectives to establish the business as a disruptive market leader.
    • Identify new business opportunities, products and services for R&SS UK's clients and collaborate across the organisation to bring these to market as appropriate taking into account global and local market considerations.
    • Build, maintain and retain key strategic client and stakeholder relationships for R&SS UK in the UK. Ensure certainty of associated revenues.
    • Take accountability for all client escalation and demonstrate engagement capability at the C-suite level.
    • Ability to articulate R&SS UK transformation and growth strategy to key stakeholders.

    Operational Management

    • Effectively take a lead with client relationship teams ensuring business objectives and associated metrics are understood, delegated and owned across the division.
    • Actively monitor operational and financial results against associated plans & budgets, making high-quality decisions that advance the business and increase profit margins.
    • Help to drive collaborative working practices and use effective tools to measure and monitor performance and identify and manage risk.
    • Lead and deliver change effectively, by making good investment choices and delivering them effectively and safely, ensuring that any efficiencies can be maximised across the business.
    • Act as an R&SS UK industry spokesperson.
    • Develop strong relationships with clients to ensure that client digital buy-in and help adoption practices to move forward.

    People Leadership

    • Build and maintain a high-performing and commercially focussed senior client relationship team who are held accountable to deliver the business plan via high-performance leadership and strong and effective employee engagement practices.
    • Proactively drive and embed best-in-class client relationship management practices within the team to ensure that the team becomes an exemplar of Relationship Management.
    • Drive and proactively embed a new set of client relationship practices within the team so the client relationship team are seen as trusted advisors and partners to significant clients.
    • Actively grow, embed and sustain a high-performing culture across the client relationship division and role model the Link Group values.
    • Lead by example and demonstrate role model behaviours at all times.

    Governance & Risk

    • Responsible for the performance of our Governance and Risk obligations, also ensuring adherence to legal requirements and the good conduct of the business, maintaining compliance and upholding the reputation of Link Group.
    • Support Link Group assurance programs that deliver an effective risk management and compliance practices.

    Experience & Personal Attributes

    • Relevant tertiary and/or other professional qualifications and senior leadership experience .
    • Ability to work effectively in a global organisation, including skills to lead and work across cultures and borders.
    • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
    • Significant experience at a senior executive level, including a track record of vision, delivery and general business growth in a fast-paced and dynamic, regulated environment. This will include sound judgement, decisiveness, and the ability to prioritise.
    • Knowledge and experience within a regulatory environment.
    • A track record in leadership and motivating teams.
    • An experienced and skilled communicator, who also inspires confidence, and influences and motivates others.
    • Track record of leading and embedding transformation programmes.
    • Proven ability to facilitate the identification and mitigation of business risk. Also including a demonstrated and pragmatic approach to risk management.
    • Personal commitment to and visible role modelling of the organisation's behaviours and values. This will include in-depth experience in the development and embedding of a high-performing organisation and culture.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset, with outstanding organisational, relationship management and leadership skills. Well known and regarded in their markets for deep knowledge of relevant industries.
    • Evidence of awareness of global retirement trends and practices.
    • A proven strategic thinker with the ability to develop well-considered robust strategies.
    • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
