Description
Learn and Play Nursery is in search of a patient and positive apprentice to complete a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship.Apprentices play a vital role in supporting welfare and care in the early years. Supported by a suitably qualified early years educator, you will engage with children on a daily basis, assisting in planning and conducting play activities and taking on key person responsibilities.
Below are the duties and expectations of an early years educator apprentice:
- Plan and carry out a variety of play activities to support children's needs and interests
- Provide activities that enhance children's numeracy, literacy, and language development
- Act as the key person to ensure children feel secure and valued
- Conduct observations to understand children's changing needs and plan accordingly
- Perform care routines with compassion and respect
- Collaborate with professionals, parents, colleagues, and children to meet individual needs
- Promote the welfare and safety of children
- Participate in continuous professional development
- Support children through transitions
- Complete the apprenticeship within set deadlines and enhance skills
- Ensure equal opportunities for all children
Skills Required:
- Self-motivation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Time management
Qualification Required:
- GCSE's in Maths and English at grade 3 or above, or equivalent
- Level 2 childcare qualification or 12 months experience in an early years setting
Training:
Your role and responsibilities will be outlined by your employer. Learn and Play Nursery will provide on-the-job training and incorporate off-the-job learning into your working day.
You will work towards the Level 3 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard with Realise as the dedicated training provider.
Realise, an established training provider, has seen growth post-management buyout in late 2020.
