I am a bright and bubbly 31 year old female looking for an enthusiastic and caring support worker to

support me alongside my mum and another SW. This will involve working alternate weekends, and

with other hours by discussion throughout the week. I also require daily holiday cover between 21st

and 26th December inclusive, over 3 visits a day. You will assist me with all my personal care

requirements during each of your visits, as well as supporting me with my meals and drinking. My

abilities can fluctuate due to chronic fatigue and FND, which causes limb weakness because of a

problem with how my nervous system functions. Currently I have very limited movement in my

limbs, however I am receiving intensive physio support. I live with my Mum who provides additional

support as required for tasks. A degree of flexibility around the visit time can be discussed around

your availability.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • I require someone to help me get up in the morning, to assist me with full personal
care/showering and to get me dressed. This will involve working alongside another person;***- You will prepare my breakfast, lunch and dinner and assist me to eat and drink these meals;

  • You will help me to take my medication.***

    THE TERMS

Ongoing
  • Alternate weekends covering morning, lunch and dinner visits as follows:

A.M - 2 hours - full personal care and preparing and feeding me my breakfast;

Lunch-time - 1 hour to prepare my lunch and help me to eat and drink my meal;

Dinner-time mins to prepare my dinner and help me to eat and drink my meal.

Daily requirement for holiday cover
  • From Thursday 21st December or Tuesday 26th
December inclusive - hours as above for weekend cover.

Availability to provide additional support to give my mum a break from my care. Dates and

times to be agreed.

  • Specific times for visits can be discussed at interview;
  • Hourly Rate £11.50 per hour;
  • 5.6 weeks Holiday pro rata
