Customer Service Adviser

An exciting opportunity has arisen at NFU Mutual South Cotswolds agency for a dedicated Customer Service & Sales Adviser based at our Wotton-under-Edge agency.


As a Customer Service & Sales Adviser within our growing team, you will play a key role in the success of an established and expanding local business, ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

You will be customer facing and the first point of contact when customer call or walk into the office. You will handle all general enquires, new business opportunities along with general office duties.


What you will be doing:


  • Handling customers enquiries, policy alterations and renewals by phone
  • Selling new NFU Mutual Insurance policies.
  • Spotting crossselling opportunities for the Agency
  • Introducing NFU Mutual Financial Services products to new and existing customers
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products.
  • Working within a compliance framework which is regulated by the agency and the Financial Conduct Authority FCA

  • People who can demonstrate the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to provide a fantastic customer experience to our existing and prospective clients.
  • Be a confident & effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • A proficient IT user with good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Enjoy problem solving and work as part of small team with a positive cando attitude.
  • Be prompt, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Be organised and able to work to deadlines as required,
  • Have the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent)
  • The ability to learn new systems, products, processes and skills.

Additional Information:

A driving license and access to own vehicle is essential.

Salary is dependent on skills and experience. This is a full-time vacancy working 35 hours per week 09:00 - 17:00 with an hour for lunch.
