The role will be Hybrid, Full time 37.5 hours a week, permanent, and Full training will be given on in-house systems.

This position is responsible for leading supplier sourcing/selection activities and successfully managing the supplier relationship to ensure the client supply chain delivers quality goods and services in a timely manner at the overall best value for thecompany.

Role and responsibility:

Managing part of the purchasing portfolio for the UK, in close coordination with other procurement colleagues, Business and Group Category Managers, locally and globally.

Responsibility for Purchasing service delivery to the labs and managing key stakeholders internally and suppliers externally
Managing both sourcing and operational elements in purchasing
Manage Local/Coupa Purchase Order Management system, reporting and drive consistent best in class usage
Obtain significant cost savings on defined scope consumables, equipment(s) and services for companies with increasing level of quality on product or service, and lower delivery time
Leading the sourcing process (RFI and RFQ) with the support of technical experts, including negotiations with suppliers.
Drive standardization and rationalization of the supplier base, in close conjunction with your internal clients.
Drive compliance and governance around the Procure to Pay process with all company entities
Process PR to PO for assigned businesses.
Evaluate and identify, if needed, sources of supply and develop optimal pricing methodology, warranty, and product/service performance requirements. Determine how to acquire the necessary products and services at the maximum level of savings.

Act as the Purchasing Expert for assigned businesses and know the market drivers, supplier base, emerging technologies, regulatory factors, category spend by supplier, and key performance metrics.

Exhibit ownership of the entire supply chain for assigned categoryfrom cradle to grave.

Effectively partner with key stakeholders to understand the laboratory business requirements, align on goals, identify opportunities, and drive projects that generate value and cost efficiencies.

Training new associates on Company NSC Sourcing and Procurement processes.

Qualifications::

Experience within Purchasing or a role where responsibility for purchasing has been a key factor within the role.
High resilience to manage operational and transactional complexity
Strong analytical skills to perform spend analysis, PO/invoice analysis and ability to work with data
The ability to lead negotiations for multisites and extract cost savings
Strong experience with supplier negotiations, supplier relationship management and supplier governance (Supplier performance KPI's)
Project Management skills to implement savings initiatives
Proactive Stakeholder management deliver/support business needs across different stakeholders
High energy, 'cando' attitude, drive and a passion to win
Performance driven mindset to deliver within agreed deadlines
Experience working in within a Laboratory, Sciences or FMCG industry is desired but not mandatory
