What are we looking for?


Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our Head Office in Rugeley in an Trainee Accounts Assistant role.

Previous Accounts, Microsoft, Excel and Sage experience would be advantageous but full training will be given.


We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator, proactive, has an eye for detail and is willing to learn.

What will you be doing?

  • Daily Liaison with Accounts Manager with clearly defined reporting.
  • Reconcile transactions/bills.
  • Identify risks including additional costs requiring further approval.
  • Support the Accounts Manager and wider accounts team by assisting in other accounting areas as needed.
  • Assist with accounting related projects.
  • Work with suppliers / clients to maintain constructive and appropriate relationships.
  • Use Accounts Payable / Receivable system(s) to update purchase orders and invoices.
  • Organise processing of supplier and sales invoices
  • Ensure payment details are updated for suppliers to enable payment within agreed time frames
  • Organised, professional, and proactive approach
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Any other tasks reasonably required within your role
