Hours: 40 hours per week, Days, Monday to Friday

Job purpose:

To plan and organise customer deliveries and collections through effective route planning. To plan and organise drivers and vehicles to achieve maximum effectiveness from the fleet.

As transport planner your key responsibilities will be:

Providing route planning for a fleet of 14+ vehicles from our Scunthorpe distribution centre to our customer's based around the UK adhering to UK law.
Ensure all collections and deliveries are completed in a timely manner, adhering to customer specifications regarding delivery requirements.
Ensure driving hours and working time directives are always followed.
Work with other departments onsite to maintain accurate and timely pick and despatch processes.
Liaise with the customer services department and the warehouse team regarding orders, back orders, additions, ETA's, and special requirements.
Have the confidence and ability to change plans when the operation dictates.
Build and maintain a healthy rapport with drivers to achieve successful completion of planned activities.
