About the Role

As our Multi Trade Operative you will support the Head of Property & Facilities in providing a comprehensive, effective and high performing delivery of maintenance, repairs and building works to Ruach City Church (RCC) buildings, ensuring that RCC complieswith all current building, safety and management legislation.

You will assist the Head of Property & Facilities with the continued development of RCC through the provision of effective and efficient processes and procedures to assure the high standard andservice excellence is delivered;

Why your role matters

As our maintenance specialist you will collaborate with our Head of Property & Facilities to identify and minimise potential maintenance issues and be accountable for the implementation of maintenance and repairs duties across all sites.

You will proactivelyundertake assigned, emergency and planned maintenance and repairs within capability or contact contractors/services when necessary.

We will require you to deliver to a high standard on assigned maintenance building projects under the supervision of the FacilitiesManager:
painting, carpentry, decorating, bricklaying, tiling, plumbing, plastering, fencing and all other trade building services, maintenance and repairs.

You will be responsible for maintaining all equipment, tools and resources in a safe and good conditionto health and safety standards.

This is a very hands-on role and you will be required to assist with the development and management of major programmes and projects for the development, improvement and maintenance of RCC's land and property assets.

You will capably achieve the most efficientand economic use of the RCC building materials and resources, ensuring purchases are value for money, the best cost is negotiated and budgets are met.

About you

A Craft qualification and expertise (C&G, NVQ, QFC) minimum Level 3 or equivalent work experience in a maintenance trade is key to your success in this role.

Experience of working in property / health & safety / buildings industry with a good understandingof health and safety, building regulations and building repairs is essential.

You will need experience of delivering customer excellence to customers, staff, suppliers/ contractors and stakeholders.

It would be great if you

Have experience of working with volunteers, or relevant experience of working with people with diverse needs and abilities.
Have a current clean driving licence and willingness to drive a company minibus/vehicle.
