    Description

ASEND Tuition Support for SEND Pupils in Dudley

ASEND tuition supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are temporarily out of school or facing challenges in finding a suitable school placement in Dudley. We are currently in need of a dedicated teacher or tutor with experience in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

    What Makes ASEND Tuition Unique:

    • We are searching for inspiring tutors to assist children and young individuals with SEND in Dudley, catering to those who are unable to attend school due to various reasons such as medical conditions, mental health concerns, or lack of appropriate school options. Our focus is on preparing these individuals for a successful return to mainstream or special education settings, or helping them continue their educational journey.
    • We provide tailored tutoring sessions to pupils of all ages, conducted face-to-face during school hours and in different environments like homes, schools, and community centers. Our approach is entirely pupil-centered, addressing areas like early learning, academic progress, emotional support, and life skills development. We are looking for diverse tutors to meet the specific needs of our pupils and ensure positive advancement.
    • We put significant effort into matching each tutor with pupils who can benefit the most from their expertise, emphasizing the importance of fostering connections and facilitating progress.

    About the Student:

Our student is a 14-year-old girl on the Autism spectrum, also diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Despite facing challenges, she is a friendly, inquisitive teenager who craves positive relationships with adults. However, she has encountered significant adversity and struggles to manage her emotions, sometimes resulting in self-harming behavior. To help her navigate these difficulties, she needs a warm, nurturing, and enjoyable learning environment to begin forming meaningful connections.

During individual sessions, she has shown enthusiasm, showcasing her skills and interests, displaying a particular fondness for games, teaching, and learning Spanish. Additionally, she is sensitive and benefits from gradual challenges accompanied by ample encouragement. Her interests span across creative arts, dance, gymnastics, performing arts, history, and reading, with music serving as a source of joy in her life. An ideal tutor for her would be creative, engaging, and supportive in fostering her skills and boosting her confidence for a brighter future.

Our pupil requires a knowledgeable tutor familiar with ASD and trauma-informed approaches like the 'PACE' model—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy. Understanding the impact of her diagnoses on communication, emotional regulation, and educational engagement is crucial, acknowledging that behavior serves as a form of expression. Above all, the tutor should be enthusiastic, playful, and willing to engage in activities like play, dance, and singing.

    About You:

    • Previous experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, coping strategies, and trauma-informed practices
    • Background as a tutor, teacher, or working therapeutically with children
    • Passion for supporting students in overcoming learning barriers and engagement challenges
    • Ability to form strong relationships with children and families, collaborating closely on tailored plans
    • Previous exposure to assisting children in their learning journeys
    • Aptitude for motivating and inspiring students
    • Utilization of a person-centered approach in your interactions
    • Prioritization of student well-being, achievements, and progress in all endeavors
    • Dedication and energy to drive continuous improvements

    Benefits:

    • Competitive and rewarding compensation packages
    • Opportunities for professional growth and development
    • Supportive and friendly environment ensuring you are equipped to address learners' individual needs with confidence
    • Training in supporting children with SEND
    • Flexible work arrangements to accommodate existing commitments
    • Join a collaborative and encouraging team focused on making a positive impact

At ASEND, you will receive comprehensive support from our experienced team and fair compensation for your contributions.

    About ASEND:

ASEND stands out as a highly specialized SEND organization dedicated to placing committed professionals in educational institutions and services across the UK.

We distinguish ourselves as a SEND-centric company rather than a conventional recruitment agency, going beyond mere staffing solutions for Special Educational Needs (SEN) education. Our Directors possess extensive expertise and a deep understanding of SEND, ensuring a unique and enriching experience for both our team members and the young individuals we support.

If you are seeking a fulfilling role and are enthusiastic about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, we encourage you to submit your application for our specialized team's review.
