Position Overview We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Management Team Lead to join us. You will take ownership of leading operational and materials management activities on multiple sites across Cambridge. We are offering this role on a full time, permanentbasis.


You will be leading team of 11 across three different sites in Cambridge (Granta Park, Hodgkin and Darwin), so you preferably have driving license and your own vehicle to move easily between sites.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Line management of team, including but not limited to; holiday allocation and approval, resource management, developmental and crucial job training needs, performance management
  • Provides hands on operational support during our transition to new facility
  • Handling Stores and Materials operational procedures; goods receipt, delivery vehicles management, parcels tracking, delivery finished goods to right end user, inventory management
  • Managing workload priorities, coordination and execution of the daily operational work for the teams, provide first line support for the materials management coordinators on sites, effective delegation of tasks as deemed appropriate

Experience Required:


  • Leadership and team management experience through change, in Stores/Warehouse environment
  • Good reporting skills and ability to use MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge or awareness of ADR and Good Laboratory Practise preferable
  • Project management skills, ability to change direction and balance multiple responsibilities and tasks
