    Position: Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine

    Job Responsibilities:

    As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for assessing and managing acutely unwell medical patients. You will also provide acute physician cover to the emergency department and work closely with physician colleagues to manage the acute medical take.

    Educational Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • Full GMC registration and a licence to practice
    • GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT
    • FRCA, MRCP, MCEM or equivalent, FFICM and CCT in ICM

    Desirable:

    • Higher Degree

      • Research and Audit:

      Essential:

      • Current Certificate of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in Research
      • Publication/presentation of ICM/Anaesthetic subject at national/international meeting
      • Evidence of audit and implementation of changes

      Desirable:

      • Relevant research published in peer-reviewed journals
      • Research experience in ICM and/or Anaesthesia
