Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a
Web Automation Engineer, Cypress/TypeScript to join our testing and delivery team, to help write and implement an automated testing framework.

We are looking for someone with some previous experience in web automation testing or coding.

You'll be hands-on, supporting the framework with new test cases, and have lots of opportunity to try out new technologies and determine the direction of our webautomation framework.

You'll be working with other mobile automation engineers, as well as our delivery team.


This role can be performed remotely in the UK, although the option to come to our Bath offices a few times a week is available.

You will need the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.


Your main responsibilities will be:


  • Build and maintain GCN+ Cypress UI automation framework equipped with BDD/POM standards
  • Support CI/CD github actions tools to support automated releases on the GCN+ site, or other web products as required
  • Ensure user needs are understood and user stories contain effective, actionable acceptance criteria
  • Plan, organise and monitor all phases of test automation across the web

Your technical experience:


  • Knowledge of and experience with Cypress automation framework
  • Experience working with Github actions CI/CD platform, running automated cypress tests on Github
  • Hands on TypeScript / React / Javascript) knowledge
  • Understanding BDD/POM design patterns through Cypress automation frameworks
  • Yarn/NPM package manager install/build experience
  • Experience in performing root causes analysis on build and test automation logs
