Job summary
Due to retirement, an opportunity has arisen to lead the small but very well respected team of paediatric dietitians at Salisbury District Hospital. The role also provides highly specialist dietetic input into a number of specialities.
The dietetic department is formed of 11 Dietitians covering a range of adult and paediatric specialities. The Trust is supportive of advanced practice and extended roles in dietetics including non medical prescribing.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will take a leading role in the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) providing specialist dietetic support to paediatric patients at Salisbury District Hospital and play a leading role in the specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for infants, children and adolescents with varied and complex dietetic difficulties in outpatient and inpatient settings. This will include provision to the CAMHs eating disorders, cystic fibrosis and coeliac clinics. It will also be responsible for the clinical supervision and management of other members of the paediatric dietetic team.
