    Crocus Fields Arkwright Walk, Nottingham NG2 2HN

    Fixed shift pattern on a 2-week shift rotation. (Please note this an awake night role throughout this time period)

    Week 1

    Wednesday 10pm-7am

    Thursday 10pm-7am

    Friday 10pm-7am

    Week 2

    Monday 10pm-7am

    Tuesday 10pm-7am

    Saturday 10pm-7am

    Sunday 10pm- 7am

    Salary: Starting salary is £23,500 (£12.18 per hour) rising to £23,893 (£12.38 per hour) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period. and raising to £24,294( £12.59 Per hour) following year.

    Enhancements of 33% on top of hourly rate from 11pm to 6am

    About the Role

  • To give essential and personal care to children and young people with autism and learning or physical disabilities.
  • To establish positive relationships with the young people, assessing needs and risk. Working jointly in preparation, implementation, and delivery of care plans.
  • To ensure that the physical, emotional, religious, educational and psychological needs of children and young people are met.
  • To support young people during the night and support them in their bedtime routines, this includes supporting young people with their medical and all-round health needs.
  • To ensure a high standard of supervision and support is provided to assist children and young people with ASD and learning disabilities.
  • Applicants must have experience of working with disabled people.
  • Primary responsibility, will be to ensure the physical safety and security of the children and young people during the night hours. You will need to respond to the needs of the young people with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities and will be required to undertake domestic tasks and have general oversight of the building security.
  • The ideal candidate will have:

    An understanding of Children's needs and rights Have some understanding of child protection issues and ensuring safety Have some understanding of a practical and sensible approach to the safety and security of the building and equipment Ability to respond sensitively to the physical and emotional needs of young people with a wide range of learning disabilities Ability to manage challenging behaviour The ability to form constructive relationships with young people

    A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
