  • A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a
    Human Resources Advisor to join our friendly team.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Advisor will work as part of a small team to support with the day-to-day delivery of the Trust's HR function, providing high quality, generalist professional Human Resources advice and administrative supportto our staff and volunteers.

The key focus will be on payroll processing, absence management, learning and development, and supporting with the organisation and delivery of staff wellbeing and social activities.

They will also support with case managementas required.
This is a site-based role, located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
To be a successful HR Advisor you will have the following skills, abilities and _ personal attributes:_

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, approachable and a willingness to assist others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Numerate and organised, with a keen attention to detail.

  • The following experience or knowledge is essential:_
Experienced in providing generalist Human Resources advice and administrative support to management teams and staff.

  • Experience of payroll processing and related duties.
  • Confident in the use of HR / Payroll / time management systems and applicant tracking software.
  • Confident in using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • The following experience or knowledge is desirable but not essential:_
  • CIPD qualification, or an interest in undertaking a relevant qualification
  • Experience of payroll software, time management and applicant tracking systems
  • Experience within the charity/heritage/services sector

As the HR Advisor, your duties will include:

  • Support with providing high quality, professional advice and guidance to management teams, including low-level ER cases
  • To ensure the timely completion of documentation including contract administration, starters and leaver documentation and changes.
  • Assist with the daytoday maintenance of the Human Resources systems (payroll, time management and volunteers)
  • To assist with the induction and development of staff and volunteers, and those returning from long term absence
  • Payroll processing
  • Monitoring staff absence in line with the Trust's Absence Policy
  • To conduct and analyse exit interviews escalating to the Head of HR, where appropriate
  • Support with learning and development administration, including record management and maintenance of the external training system
  • To produce monthly KPI reports
  • To support with the timely completion of staff and volunteer communications via inhouse systems, i.e., MS Teams, SharePoint and Better Impact.
  • Play an active role in supporting the Human Resources team to plan, organise and deliver social events, i.e., Staff and Volunteer Meetings, Wellbeing Week and Volunteers Week.
This is a
full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, based at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9.00am until 5.00pm.

The ability to flex working hours to accommodate some ad hoc evening / weekend working tosupport with socials / wellbeing initiatives, is required.

In return, you will receive a salary of circa £26,000 per annum depending on experience, along with a company pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan and 33 days holiday per annum, inclusive of statutory holidays.
