TheOpportunity:

At Rovco we are busymaking offshore hydrographic and subsea survey more autonomoususing autonomous ships and underwater robots enabled by ourcomputer vision AI and data technology.

We arelooking for a Senior GIS Marine Site Characterisation Specialist ona permanent basis. You do not need to have renewables experiencefor this role giving you a fantastic opportunity to join therenewables revolution

Toassist with the data delivery activities of Rovcos hydrographicsurvey and inspection projects. Ensuring quality control andassurance of data complies with the project scope of work. Deliveryof survey data acquired from vessel/USV/AUV/ROV platforms and toproduce survey data products for GIS/SSDM charts andreports.

MainResponsibilities

• QC& QA of survey data.
• Creation anddelivery of survey datasets andreports.
• Development and maintenance of Rovcocharting standards.
• Producing GIS / SSDMprojects and GIS/CAD charts.
• Projectpreparation and planning.
• Data management ofhydrographic survey and inspectiondata.
• Provide support to the offshoreteam.
• Setup and administration of GIS/CADhardware and software.
• Developing methodologiesstandards and training material.
• Provideguidance on best practice and solutions to achievedeliverables.
• Identification acceptance andimplementation of new GIS technologies techniques andpractices.

Youshould apply if youhave:

Essential:

• Survey/hydrographic/oceanscience/data related degree
• Previous workingexperience as a GISTechnician/Analyst
• Experience with offshoresurvey projects and creation of charts and GISdeliverables
• Experience with sitecharacterisation data anddeliverables.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro Esriapps and Spatial Map Series
• Experience withPython and ModelBuilder
• Automating WorkflowsUsing ArcGIS ProTasks

Desirable:

• FMEexperience
• SQLexperience
• QGISexperience
• Microsoft Power BIexperience
• Experience with datamanagement
• Creation and output of statistics onprojects for progress reports and finalreports.
