Our client is looking for an External Account Manager to join a successful and growing team.

The Role
You will be working as part of a team, reporting to the Sales Manager


Key accountabilities:

  • Establish and develop a customer account base in the IT reseller market.
  • Proactively manage the sales of their products into the account base to exceed monthly / quarterly targets.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators in line with expectations
Deliverables

  • Maintain a high performing work ethic in line with company values and management expectations
  • Resolve internal and external issues promptly and professionally, escalating to Sales Manager if necessary
  • Use the internal CRM system to track performance
  • Develop the skills to deliver ad hoc presentations where required such as covering for the Sales Manager or at customer meetings
  • Attend any team meetings to learn about incentives and promotions and to communicate important product messages to entire account base
  • Gather and record accurate, timely and relevant CRM data in order for it to be used to develop stronger relationships and maximise profit opportunity
  • Maintain electronic price feeds to customers through the internal system to ensure that all prices are up to date and accurate and that the correct margin parameters are in place
  • Drive the web proposition of the client's products & services by educating customers about the web offering, signing new customers up to trade through the website.
  • Have a proven track record of account management and new business generation within the IT reseller channel.
  • Understand buying criteria and possess good product knowledge to liaise and influence across the customer base.
  • Demonstrate good communicational skills, high standards of customer service and a talent for building relationships internally and externally.
  • Have a natural desire to hit and exceed sales targets.
  • Have a strong network of business contacts.
