We are pleased to be supporting our successful client in finding a new Accounts Clerk to join their small and friendly finance team.

This opportunity is based in Leeds city centre and also offers hybrid working.

The role is an essential part of the team that focuses on processing invoices, ensuring these invoices are paid on time, and dealing quickly and efficiently with invoice queries, and training will be provided.


Responsibilities include:

  • Processing and coding of purchase invoices
  • Timely and efficient posting, matching and approval of all purchase invoices
  • Dealing with invoicing queries from external and internal sources, ensuring all queries have been followed up within appropriate timescales
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Preparation of payment runs via BACS
  • Setting up new suppliers on accounting system following strict control procedures
  • Once established in the role, providing invoicing/finance admin training and support to nonfinance colleagues to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Reporting as and when required
  • Establishing good working relationships
  • Other ad hoc accounts administration duties as required.
  • An Accounts Clerk, Finance Clerk or Purchase Ledger Clerk in the early stages of your finance career with an interest in the purchase ledger process
  • Experience within purchase ledger would be advantageous not essential as training will be provided
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • IT confident with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel
  • Experience of finance software packages would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Selfdisciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature.

Salary:
£21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
