An exciting opportunity to join a growing team.

A busy and growing Industrial Packaging Company located in the Newton Heath area of Manchester are seeking a competent new member of the team who will be a full-time accounts assistant / bookkeeper and human resources representative.


We are looking for someone who can work with our accounts system Sage 50 and manage the accounts processes on a day-to-day basis within the office.

As a SBU we must report into HQ monthly and so it is vital our accounts are accurate and processed on time in line with internal procedures.


General Accounts Duties:

  • General duties including filing and data inputting
  • Processing Purchase Orders
  • Invoicing
  • Updating of Purchase Ledger
  • Dealing with general accounts queries from customer and suppliers.
  • Keeping all client information up to date and current
  • Reconciliation of Bank Account.
  • Chasing Statements
  • Supplier Payments
  • Keeping Sage Up to date
  • Credit Applications
  • VAT Quarterly
  • Closing of Sales Ledger by the 2nd of each Month
  • Ensuring internal procedure is followed
  • Closing of Purchase Ledger by the 4th of each Month
  • Purchase Order System Management


  • Credit Control

  • Chasing on a weekly basis and ensuring we keep on target for cash flow
  • Recording time sheets
  • Assisting payroll

Salary:


  • Salary will be negotiable, dependent on knowledge and experience but in the range of £10.42£11 per hour.
  • Bonus based on KPIS after trial period

Required experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 1 year
  • Must have 2 years of office experience
Part-time hours: 3 days a week 8:00-5:30

Salary:

£10.42-£11.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Experience:


  • Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
- bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)


  • Sage: 2 years (preferred)
