    Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults facing homelessness? Join our dynamic team as a Early Intervention Officer in Depaul UK, where you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey towards independence.

    About Us:

    Role Overview:

    We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and youth-focused individual to join our team of professionals that are working to ensure young people and their families are proactively supported to prevent future homelessness.

    As Early Intervention Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training in Lambeth to a range of settings, including schools, colleges, Pupil Referral Units, youth centres, and statutory services that come into contact with young people.

    You will also build long-term relationships with educational institutions, youth centres, community groups, and statutory services to raise awareness of the risk indicators of youth homelessness, and proactively identify families to target support at.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and coordinate the Depaul training programme in Lambeth.
  • Deliver the programme's workshops to children and young people aged 11-18 in a variety of education and youth settings, including facilitating assemblies, classroom-based workshops and small group work, as well as delivering sessions virtually if required.
  • Follow up 1:1 work with young people/families to assess needs and provide support where they are waiting for other services
  • Design and prepare engaging, innovative and high quality resources and workshops that are integrated with the national curriculum and differentiated to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider national education team to periodically review and update the programme content, based on feedback and in line with developments in the sector.
  • Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role.

    What We Are Looking For – Person Specification:

  • Excellent ability to work productively with children and young people: skilled at building rapport, managing behavior and addressing difficult topics in an appropriate manner.
  • Confident to deliver engaging presentations, workshops and training to large groups of children, young people and adults, both in-person and virtually.
  • Experience of designing and developing high-quality and innovative educational resources, lesson plans and workshops for children and young people in line with the national curriculum and other statutory guidance.
  • Experience of working with young people and families from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong relationship management skills, able to build constructive partnerships with a range of professionals, influence senior figures and effectively explain the impact of our work.
