Role & Responsibilities

  • Best practice and processes
  • Define and document best practice for installs
  • Own the installs/procedures elements within the Operating Manual
  • Create field QC processes and inspection processes
  • Assess network ability to handle sectional and larger doors / future product range
  • Provide training / retraining as needed, as well as owning future new joiner training plan
  • Manage remedials and costs
  • Report on the nature and cost of remedials, and parts used
  • Ensure remedials are being closed down in timely manner
  • Produce and own weekly reporting
  • Assess competency of franchisees to pick up remedial work, and liaise with commercial team on their capacity
  • Monitor remedials by franchisees, to review who is over and under indexing on issues / the nature of those / usage of parts
  • Responsible for franchisee van stocks and replenishment process
  • Product and process improvement Ensuring returned parts are analysed with a positive feedback loop established
  • Use data and insights to feed into continuous improvement with product and factory / QC processes
  • Contribute to NPD process using field feedback to assist in product development and new policies
  • Leadership Manage 56 National Engineers to support execution of this plan
Key skills

  • Strong aptitude to understand product and door fitting
  • Good technical capability
  • Analysis analytical skills to review remedials, performance, spend (supported by finance)
  • People management to lead team of 5, define daily and weekly processes and drumbeat
  • Process oriented, with ability to map and document best practice
  • Liaise with various departments within the business (for data/insights), and to influence franchisees
