    Description

    The award-winning NWSLC Catering & Hospitality Department are looking to recruit a Front of House Lecturer to join our ambitious and creative team.


    The current provision includes the highly acclaimed Glebegate Restaurant and our recently reimagined Glebe St Street food outlet, both of which are staffed by our students.

    We are looking for a team player who wants to share their skills and industry knowledge to develop the next generation through high quality teaching, learning and assessment and continued involvement in competitions.

    Ability to show flair and passion a must along with a can-do attitude. Competitions are in the heart of what we do and a integral part of our everyday working. Candidate must be able to multitask and think on their feet both in the RWE and all other tasks.

    What skills are we looking for:

    • A multitasker – you must be able to work on various projects at the same time
    • A creative thinker – you will have the freedom to bring new ideas to the table and run with them
    • Enthusiasm towards additional projects and competitions
    • Preparedness to go that extra mile-a key feature of the industry.

    Responsibilities for the role:

    • Delivery of innovative and high-quality TL&A
    • Work within departmental budgets
    • Chef lecturer responsibilities for Glebegate and Glebe St (this may include evenings)
    • Barista skills
    • Wine knowledge and service ability
    • Bar and cocktail knowledge
    • Good Customer interaction
    • Cash Handling and accountability.
