Lusona is recruiting for a part-time accounts assistant to work in the internal cash room of one of Scotland's most established Independent Chartered Accountancy firms.

Their office is located in Glasgow city centre.


This team is responsible for the internal accounts function and we are looking for someone who is flexible and can provide excellent customer service.

The role has a variety of responsibilities which include:

Cash Management and Processing

  • Processing purchase invoices on Sage / Autoentry
  • Processing cash receipts on Central and reconciling to Sage
  • Insolvency general accounts bank reconciliations
  • General practice client account bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Processing of staff expenses
  • Initiation of Insolvency bank transfers
  • General corresponding with bank
  • Making payment of invoices
  • Taking telephone payments
  • Processing and reconciliation of credit cards onto Sage
  • Reconciliation of disbursements between Sage and Central

You will also provide admin support:

  • General Cash Room admin support
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages
  • Liaising with staff from all depts
  • Database cleansing
  • Filing
  • Practice systems improvement support
  • Any other appropriate tasks, as directed
Suitable applicants will have bookkeeping experience and hold their NAT5 qualification or equivalent in both English and Maths. This is a part-time position - 20 hours per week - half of these hours can be hybrid working. Our client has budgeted a basicsalary of £18K - £20K for this role.
