    Description

    Are you passionate about Teaching RE?

    We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to lead our dedicated team of RE Teachers. You will deliver excellent lessons and instil a love of Religious Education in keen learners.

    In this role you will provide positive leadership, and manage the use of resources, and promote excellent professional practice to contribute positively to whole school effectiveness.

    You will lead by example in promoting the Catholic Ethos of the school and in developing the faith life of all within our community.

    This is a reserved post, meaning that we are looking for someone who meets the definition of a practising Catholic (the details of which are included with this pack).

    This is a permanent, full-time role starting from January 2025.

    All Saints' Catholic Voluntary Academy is located in the well-regarded area of Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. The school serves a wide geographical area in Mansfield itself and in the counties of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. All Saints' is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing comprehensive schools in Mansfield and we continue to strive for excellence academically, spiritually, and pastorally.

    We were judged 'Outstanding' in our latest Diocesan Canonical inspection, and we are currently rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

    We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

    You will:

  • Be a practising Catholic with a strong faith commitment and a clear vision for Catholic Education.
  • Have the vision, drive, and energy to initiate, lead and manage strategies to build on the current successes and achievements of the school.
  • Be a confident, positive, and visible leader with the ability to build relationships with staff, pupils, parents, Governors, Directors, and others working in the CMAT and a wide variety of external partners.
  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
  • Have previous experience working as a teacher or within a Secondary School setting.
  • Have good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
  • Have a passion for working with young people.
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
