My degree has involved extensive lab work alongside independent study within the field. I have developed excellent communication skills, both oral and written, alongside lab technique, mathematical, statistical and research skills, including critical analysis of papers. In my final year, I have worked alongside a small group of Master’s students to try and implement a shadowing scheme for younger undergraduates. Providing valuable lab experience and exposure to a wide range of biological techniques, aiming to support students who may face challenges securing placements, summer internships or those who want to figure out what aspect of biology they enjoy.
