Test Specialist (March 2021 - Present)

Key Responsibilities:-

• Analysing software requirements to write and execute comprehensive, thorough and effective test scripts and regression packs in order to verify the quality of new or enhanced software releases 
• Developing technical documents to accurately represent the test suite.
• Executes tests in accordance with test frameworks and governance to drive precise and detailed testing expected outcomes
• Estimating test case build and execution effort to support detailed test planning for releases 
• Reporting outcomes of tests, analyses, and manages defects through to closure
• Escalating impediments to Test Manager and Project Management 
• Facilitating demos of the stories/ functions in test for business owner sign off 
• Collaborating and co-ordinating test execution with third party flex partners 
• Contributing to continuous improvement of the planning and execution of tests 
• Adhering to the testing strategy, quality framework and methodology defined in the Test Engineering and QA Community of Practice standards, ensuring consistency, optimisation, continuous improvement, and best practice are embedded in testing processes 
• Ensuring key Testing principles and requirements for the SDLC are maintained 
• Contributing to raising awareness and understanding of the Testing and Quality Assurance function, framework and policies

UAT Test Analyst/ Lead (August 2018 - March 2021) 

Worked on the Quilter Platform Transformation Programme. At the time, the largest IT project in Europe. 

• JIRA Administration, including test execution, setup, test plan set up, labelling of test cases and defects 
• Supporting test execution for functional regression testing 
• Supporting test design of functional testing of each planned functional release 
• Supporting the test team manager in running defect triage sessions whilst negotiating the fix cycle and severity of each defect depending on risk 
• Co-ordinating and monitoring test case scenarios to ensure they are completed in accordance with timelines
• Reporting back to the test team manager with end of day stats to be reported to stakeholders 
• Negotiating testing approach and system fixes 
• Manage business SME's and BA's feedback provided and ensure this is incorporated in the test scenarios and test cases 
• Conducting post release impact assessments of defects provided to ensure regression impact is understood 
• Identifying and escalating risks and issues to the test manager and the relevant business SME's
• Monitor defect ageing and escalate where necessary 
• Ensure test execution is appropriately evidenced and results are available in JIRA, including facilitating and discussions required around FAV'ing test cases following defect deferral 
• Monitor test scenarios and test cases to provide confidence that they are delivered as per agreed schedule

• Sourcing, gathering and manipulating data from multiple sources such as SAP Business Objects 
• Data Analysis using excel. Presenting this to senior stakeholders and changing the format 
• Liasing with managers and senior stakeholders using interpersonal skills
