Currently a private maths and science tutor, I have also worked as a data analyst, using my technical knowledge to improve my business and communication skills. Graduated from Lancaster University with a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. I am keen to apply my knowledge and ability to complex systems and challenges. I have a passion for problem solving, I work well within a team and effectively under pressure whilst maintaining a high attention to detail. I pride myself on my ability to convey my technical knowledge and explain complex issues to non-technical audiences: this is shown by my work tutoring at GCSE and A-level online. I am also comfortable getting really technical with colleagues as evidenced by my working with senior business and data analysts producing complex algorithms to analyse millions of data points for the Microsoft sales team across EMEA. • My lessons are 30 minutes to an hour covering maths, physics, and chemistry at GCSE and A-level.

• Tutoring has taught me the importance of clear communication not only in explaining concepts but also active listening to understand where a student may lack understanding so we can ensure focus is being put on the most impactful areas.

Data management agency specialising in data analysis and insights working with the Microsoft sales team in EMEA.

• I used SQL, Excel, and PowerBI to process and input data to dashboards I helped design from scratch to show how performance corresponded with various KPI metrics across all of Microsoft’s EMEA sales on weekly, monthly, and annual views.
• Used pivot tables and V-lookup functions in Excel to gather and standardise data before exporting to a SQL database to clean and process the data, linked to a PowerBI dashboard where the data was analysed and displayed to give clear views into performance and correlations.
• Implemented a complex seasonality metric to allow direct comparison of sales data with previous years to account for the impacts of sales events and weekly fluctuations in performance which included regression techniques from start to finish.
• Created an app with PowerApps linked with a SQL database to streamline data inputs from clients for the sales claim team to replace a much slower process that was prone to error, greatly increasing the speed at which clients’ claims were handled and standardising the form of data entry, improving the overall efficiency of the team.
• Frequently met with clients to give updates on progress and ensure all deliverables were being met. This gave me great opportunities to proactively identify issues and solutions that would help the client achieve their goals.
