ALEXANDER FAURE

With an energetic and sociable personality, I find joy in meeting people from all walks of life.
Whether my duty is to provide an experience or collaborate in a team, making others smile is my
strong suit. As an avid gamer, there are many skills that can be transferrable to the working world,
such as multitasking, working under pressure in a team, having a strategic mindset, and paying
attention to details. This passion leads to my strengths in accomplishing tasks that require a more
hands-on and practical approach; this is reflected in my milling and casting work.

Caretaker
 Doing some work pulling out weeds, moving bins as well as checking around the site to make
sure nothing is broken or malfunctioning. This has helped with being more attentive to issues or
problems with equipment.

Site Manager
 Working as a site manager and directing a team has helped me both with organization skills as to
make sure everything is done on time for guests to arrive.
 Working alone on site has also helped me learn to work under pressure especially with stress
inducing circumstances and be able to fully resolve those issues in the process.

Shadowing Air Traffic Controller
 Observed and understood the use of different systems (such as radar equipment) that organize
and track different planes and flight paths simultaneously.
 Recognized the differences in equipment and technology that the tower and control center used;
the control center had more advanced systems to accommodate a wider scope of aerospace.
 Learned 5 core skills: Effective Lines of Communication, Good Time Management, Ability to
Focus, Attention to Detail and Quick Decision Making.

 Prepared receipts and calculated appropriate exchange rates and restocked shelves when
required and kept track of inventory.

 Learned to be organized at a quick pace, to ensure good time management.

Shadowing Radio Station Operator (2 Weeks)
 Observed the use of sensitive equipment in the studio (sound systems with mixers)
 Experimented with mixing equipment to select music that was broadcasted live
 Recorded a special segment introducing myself, that was aired live.
Achievements
 Achieved the silver medal for the Duke of York award.
 Won an Electrical Engineering Competition during a study visit to ADNOC (Abu Dhabi’s National
Oil Company).
 Performed as one of the lead roles in two major school productions (Annie & Addams Family).

Completed GCSE and Levels. Prepared for the Foundation year at Aston University where I realized that this is not for me and would prefer to be learning and hands-on doing an apprenticeship instead.
