About Alexandru Ipati-Constantinescu:

Expertise in managing complex projects from conception to completion.

Even though bringing a project from conception to completion is difficult, it is far more challenging to fix a project that has gone horribly wrong in the first place.

When taking on a new project, the key to success lies in your ability to objectively analyse and select the right team members. Your crucial role in team selection significantly contributes to the completion of the project.

When taking over a project that took a wrong turn due to a previous manager's making many wrong decisions, you must first deal with the team's disputes, blame-assigning and quarrels caused by the project's derailment before reevaluating the project objectives. Questioning the skills and expertise of every individual in your team is necessary to rule out the possible nepotism, favouritism, or individuals trying to climb the corporate ladder through machiavellian means.

Skilled in developing and organising a well-run ward.

Once you have gathered the desired team, you must know how to use and apply their skills to the project. One rule of thumb is that, as a leader, you have to be the last man speaking. Some managers consider themselves skilled enough to plan a project on their own, using the rest of the team as pawns to act on their ruling. But if you let anyone else speak first, you might learn that your ideas were not the best, and you have to be humble enough to admit that. That means having a big ego will be detrimental to the project.

Experienced in conducting performance reviews and implementing improvement plans.

One type of leader I dislike the most is the office-bound manager. To assess the performance of each individual working on a ward, you have to be present on the ward, working together with the team and closely monitoring the manner in which they complete every task. As an office-bound manager, you must rely heavily on other team members' complaints or gossip; sometimes, that might have the malevolent motive of demonstrating superiority by belittling their colleagues.

Another way to assess someone's performance is to interact with the patients. The patients' assessment will be based on how the staff treated them.

Strong ability to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

The most effective way of streamlining operations is to be part of the team while implementing routines. Being present on the ward for several shifts will allow you to visualise the dynamics of the protocols you implemented and their effects on overall productivity.

Experience

My clinical background includes extensive experience in spinal cord injuries, traumatic and hypoxic brain injuries, epilepsy and palliative care. I have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and have consistently received positive feedback from patients and families. I am also skilled in staff training and development, having mentored numerous new nurses and facilitated professional growth opportunities for my team.

Used outstanding planning and prioritisation abilities to safely care for mixture of up to 12 patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic and hypoxic brain injuries, epilepsy and patients under palliative care.

Supported patients with maintenance of tracheostomy and laryngectomy tubes.

Supported patients with maintenance of urinary catheters.

Monitored and recorded patient condition, carrying out and reporting regular observations.

Worked closely with fellow nurses, doctors and clinicians for consistent communication and continued best care practices.

Administered medication in line with stringent drug regulations.

Upheld patient trust and confidentiality by managing information with discretion, in accordance with data protection laws.

Assisted with routine medical tests and evaluations, documenting findings to aid care planning.

Quickly responded to medical emergencies, working calmly and professionally under pressure.

Established positive rapport with patients and families through active listening and compassionate care.

Maintained accurate, up-to-date patient records, maximising data accuracy.

Supported patients with critical conditions, planning and implementing targeted strategies for optimal recovery outcomes.
