Hi there! My name is Ali Altaf, and I am a computer science student with a passion for cyber security and emerging technologies. I'm a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is always looking for ways to learn and grow.
One of the things I love most about computer science is the opportunity to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions. I'm always up for a challenge and thrive in situations where I can use my creativity and problem-solving skills to make a difference.

In my free time, I enjoy diving into the world of cybersecurity by reading books and articles on the latest trends and techniques. I also like to put my skills to the test by experimenting with different software and tools, constantly seeking to improve my knowledge and stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
 

IBM Internship, Leeds, United Kingdom
July 2022 - August 2022
Completed a 6-week internship with IBM, a multinational technology corporation, in July-August 2022.
Played an active role in the IBM training program to develop business skills including teamwork, research, and communication.
Gained first-hand experience in how IBM innovates solutions and worked in close collaboration with IBM employees to observe how they create, maintain, and support world-class technology developments.
Worked on a project with Leeds City Council, where I researched a variety of marketing strategies for a social media platform.
Managed my time effectively in order to meet deadlines and conduct sufficient research.
Worked well both independently and within a team, delegating tasks and taking on a leadership role when needed.
Through effective communication and organization skills, completed my part of the work and helped team members with theirs, resulting in a successful presentation.
Studied abroad in Romania for a short while as part of the Erasmus program in September-December 2021.
Adapted to a new culture, people, and environment and learned to be more independent, open-minded, and confident in my abilities to overcome challenges.
