Amy Nguyen

I am a dedicated, trustworthy, and hardworking person who thrives on challenges. I have a passion for fashion, and would like to gain as much experience from the retail industry as possible. I am a committed designer who is very creative, and I have an eye for beautiful products. I am extremely conscientious, and like to see projects through from start to finish. I am an astute decision maker and work very well on my own or within a team environment. Through my education and upbringing, I have developed key skill/qualities that are crucial within the retail sector, including: Honesty, integrity, organisational skills, creativeness, leadership, communication skills, both oral and written. 

I used to have work experience at a high-end boutique for the elderly in Cardiff (Dot clothing). I have experience in arranging sales to suit each season and promoting sales in each sale. Based on daily skills, learning and working in environments that require high artistry and a sharp look at products (colours, materials, textures, etc.). I catch up with trends very quickly and understand the psychology of customer needs. I give useful advice to customers not only to drive sales but also to create a lasting connection between the customer and the consumer product. I am acutely aware that customer services is key the fashion and retail industry. 

BA Fashion Design 2019-2022. Units comprised: Fashion fundamentals; fashion visualisation; Collaboration; ie how two fashion designers combine in working to a brief; Constellation, ie ideas and theory. 

I have completed a number of GCSE / AS/A level exams.

These are:

12 GCSE’s. Maths, Music, Textiles, Art, WB, Numeracy, RE, Welsh, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English.  

4 AS/A levels  : Music, Textiles, Business, Welsh Bac.
