Hi, I'm Anna and I have recently graduated from Durham University with a History Degree. 

I am passionate about heritage and conservation, creative arts, and vernacular architecture and interiors. 

Retail Team Leader (2018-2019)

Warwick Castle 

Foster and maintain a high standard across the department through both shop and people management. Deliver high quality guest experiences, hit KPI targets, and perform shop inspections and risk assessments. Engage a team and help them to maximise their potential through positive communications and individualised support. Act as a key holder and cash handler for multiple shops across site. Act as a first responder to issues with guests, de-escalate situations and handle customer complaints.

Warwick Castle 

Develop and implement strong customer service skills to deliver a unique and engaging experience to guests of all ages and backgrounds. Organise, merchandise, and clean multiple shops to a high standard. Work effectively within a team and independently to solve problems and come up with creative solutions. Received specialised health and safety training for working in an historic property. 

College Representative Co-ordinator (2022-2023)

The Hygiene Bank Durham 

Organise and manage a group of volunteers to aid with fundraising and educating on the work of the Hygiene Bank. Manage the busy schedules of multiple people and foster a positive volunteering environment. Create and deliver engaging presentations in local schools and help students to put on their own fundraising events.

Children Achieving Through Student Support 

Organise and run fun activity days, trips, and residentials for primary aged children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Provide a safe space where children can open up about personal problems, relax, and just be kids! Received training in health and safety, first aid, and data protection. 

Creative Director (2022-2023)

St Chads Charity Fashion Show 

Create cohesive branding for the event, run a variety of social media accounts, and create and set up decorations for a large event. Use engaging and informative posts to encourage support for our chosen charity (Durham Area Youth) and help to run a successful fashion show which raised over £10,000. Communicate a creative vision effectively and work with external contractors to fulfil this. 

Fashion Designer (2021-2023)

St Chads Charity Fashion Show 

Create unique crochet pieces to be featured on the runway at a popular fashion show. Work with models to ensure the pieces fit, were comfortable, and they felt good in them. Help out on the night with any last minute tweaks in a high pressured environment. 

Head of Decorations (2019-2020) 

Candlemas Ball 

Plan, create, and set up themed decorations in six different spaces, co-ordinate a team and work alongside a deputy. Complete extensive research on the theme of ‘decades’ including interior designs, fashions, and popular culture. Create mood boards and 3D models to successfully communicate a creative vision. Work with a wider team to plan and run a successful event.
