Passionate about engineering and reaching sustainability goals. Interested in the energy sector, and in gaining hands on experience. I like to volunteer and am currently a Marketing Intern at GatherAid. I act as Treasurer and committee member in the UCL Engineering society, where we collaborate with companies and sponsors to generate events and student opportunities. I am also interested in media, travelling and food!

Working to build a platform to connect volunteers with different organisations/ charities. Research on effective marketing strategies, boosted membership and outreach. Used the Old Marketing Funnel technique, new apps/ methods to create promotional videos on all our social media platforms. Became business minded, to think of how to bring in revenue via marketing and PR

• Engineering and Infrastructure Experience, Bright network Internship 19/07/21– 21/07/21

Participated in a three-day virtual internship program, attended career talks with managers and successful graduates from companies including Atkins, Vodafone, Amazon, Citrix and more., Designed an automated PCB recycling system provided a client brief by PA Consultancy. Aimed to save and re-use precious inductors, capacitors, and copper material and reduce landfill. Met chemical, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers around the world, built my network and exposure to industrial productions and company problems. Gained industrial insight into importance of R&D, supply chains and engineering consultancies

• Shop assistant, La Gelateria, 1 W Park Walk, East Village, London, E20 1DH (Part time) 15/06/21– 05/09/21

Served a diverse range of customers and communicated as a team under pressure / time limits. Carried responsibility of closing the shop and ensuring everything was clean and locked safely. Organized and prepared virtual deliveries whilst taking in-person orders, this developed my multitasking skills. Understood the loads of customer service industries and how to deal with conflict. Broadened my mind in how collate successful team spirit by maintain focus and meeting responsibilities

• London school of hygiene and tropical medicine, Keppel St, Bloomsbury, London WC1E 7HT (Work experience) 07/2019-07/2019

Collaborated in teams with pupils from different schools to form a health research project. The project was to address the theory “Does the media affect our daily diet?”. Designed online surveys to gather data, considered limitations and assumptions of our methods and reached a valid conclusion within a one-week deadline. Presented the project results to university students, research post grads, professors and answered their questions

• UCL Chemical Engineering Card game Project 25th/05/2021– 22nd/06/2021

Developed cards for a game based on Engineering safety assessments and regulations, e.g.,
HAZOP and HAZID. Designed images of disasters for the cards e.g., nuclear meltdowns, Cyanide leaks, Beirut
explosion using online apps and drawing technologies. I.e., Adobe Photoshop and Sketch. Worked as a multidisciplinary team, i.e., graduate chemical engineering students, and Professors of
process design principles. Game promoted among future students to study these concepts, and learn about processing safety

• American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the UCL Chapter, Events Director 28/10/20-27/05/21

Leaded event design, management, and brainstorming ideas. Collaborated with other university societies to involve an abundance of students in upcoming events. Overlooked our social media platforms and marketing strategies. Created CV workshops, arranged access to IChemE speeches on AI and more for the interests of students

Contributed to event design, management,  as well as ensured efficient contact is maintained between the committee and sponsors. Maintained high organisational skills and recorded all payments in and out of the UCLES (UCL Engineering society Bank), additionally, aided reimbursements and collaborated with other societies to finance bigger events.

• UCL Engineering Society Welfare Officer 27/07/21-01/05/21 

Contributed to event design, management, and marketing. Designed an engineering mentorship program, constituting career and course-related mentors for students across the engineering faculties. Worked as a team to meet deadlines and collaborate with other societies and companies.
