As a multi-skilled, CIPD qualified professional with over eight years’ experience, I demonstrated my ability to provide comprehensive HR support to senior management and employees, ensuring compliance with employment regulations and company policies. I have been actively involved in policy development and implementation, keeping up to date with employment law and best practices. I have successfully handled employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and absence management. In addition to my HR expertise, I have also taken on responsibilities as the Health & Safety lead and Sustainability Manager. Experience
Human Resources
- Provide a complete Human Resources support to Senior Management and employees within the UK
- Make sure that an organisation run smoothly by ensuring that all company processes are compliant with employment regulations and that all personnel act in line with the Company policies
- Draft, update and advise on policies including Employee Handbook as a Policy Champion / Expert
- Stay current on Employment Law and best practice and provide guidance on employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance, dismissals and absence management. All cases are handled fairly, consistently and in compliance with the relevant employment laws and best practices, in a timely and professional manner
- Working closely with Senior Management to develop staff skills including highlighting needs and recommendations made through the staff appraisal process
- Leading the recruitment process, posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and negotiating salaries
- Influence decisions as a participant in Board of Directors meetings
- GDPR Lead: developed policies and procedures to ensure that all information collected complies with the DPA and GDPR. Monitor data compliance on an ongoing basis
- Lead the workforce reduction by 55% in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Successfully rehired and reassigned some of the redundant employees in 2021/2022 as the business recovered and expanded
Health & Safety lead
- Responsible in designing and implementing safety measures to reduce the frequency and risk of workplace accidents and injuries
- Improved safety for staff and customers by assessing and updating procedures and policies for onsite and offsite operations
- Responsible for carrying out equipment and workplace inspections and assisting with safety management system audits
- Conducting Risk Assessments
Achieved the highest standards of safety and compliance as the Fire Risk Assessment and the Umbrella Risk Assessment lead for the Company. Received praise from the H&S Advisor for obtaining an overall fire risk rating of ‘Trivial’ in the H&S audit in April 2023.
Sustainability Manager
- Developed and implemented a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the company, including goals, metrics, initiatives and reporting
- Conducted sustainability assessments, audits and risk analyses for the company’s operations, products and services
- Monitored and delivered results tied to the corporate sustainability strategy and communicated progress to internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor all sustainability practices for compliance and collect list of areas that require improvement
- Led and participated in sustainability projects, campaigns to raise awareness, engage employees and customers
- Implementation of the Sustainability Policy and Action Plan
- I accomplished Travelife Certification for the company in February 2023. As a result of this achievement, we became the second company in the UK to obtain this international accreditation
Other experience
- Provide a complete Human Resources support to Senior Management and employees within the UK and European offices in Italy, Turkey, Germany and Romania. Acting as a first point of contact for advice and guidance on all aspects of HR practice
- Full cycle of recruitment process by sourcing candidates, leasing with Recruitment Agencies, performing background checks, managing shortlisting, interviews arranging and interviewing candidates, test administration
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with the current legislation including Employee Handbook; creating new documents to support HR function across the Company
- Working alongside the HR Manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary, long term sickness absences
- Employment contracts administration: preparing contracts for new starters, contract changes, extensions and keeping accurate records, referencing and checking Work Permits / Visas and other legal documents for all EU and no EU employees
- Monitor probation deadlines, review probation documents and draft probation confirmation letters
- Prepare and monitor completion of annual performance appraisals and bonuses
- Absence Management, maintaining records of personnel-related data for permanent and agency staff (recording and monitoring sickness absence, collating data and monthly reporting, personal information, etc.) Conducting return to work interviews, disciplinary meetings. Closely manage the HR data providing regular reporting and presentations
- Project Manager: working on specific projects and research work as required or as directed by the Senior Managers and Directors. Successful implementation of Time & Attendance and Access Control
- Introduction and training new starters, training whole company on specific subjects / new policies
