Engineering / Architecture
About Christina Gorman:
I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate from the University of Glasgow looking to improve my skills, both theory and practical, and gain experience within an engineering role.
Experience
I have gained experience and skills within financial and medical roles. My time working as a COVID-19 sample handler at the Queen Elizabeth University hospital allowed me to gain further experience working in a laboratory environment, strictly adhering SOPs and HSE, COSHH, and BIOCOSHH regulations.
Education
I am an Honours graduate with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Glasgow. Over my 4 years at university studying Engineering, I developed experience in many softwares and programs such as MATLAB, R, OrCAD and SolidWorks for design, analysis, and simulation. I work well within a team, as well as being able to use my own initiative when left to work independently. I have extenaive experience in research, gained from my Final Year project on Paper-based Diagnostics for Cattle: Testing for Bacterial Infection, as well as designing a paper-based diagnostic device, testing said device in a laboratory and analysing results to develop a more effective design of device. Throughout my time at university I have obtained and developed many relevant engineering and social skills. I am a hard-worker who will always complete my work to the highest of standards.
