Dan Tomlinson

Born and raised in Grimsby, I arrived in Leeds in July 2021 in pursuit of change. Having dedicated over five years to the hospitality sector, I devoted my skillset to gain experience within the administrative environment. A Master’s degree and valuable life experience later, I return matured from my excursion to my lifelong dream: a thriving and prosperous career in the constantly evolving creative industry. With a decade of academic experience in film and television settings, I envision my future with the desire to make a difference.

Leeds City College - School Attendance Officer (2023 - Present)

▪ Contact and investigation of absentee students through varying paths of communication. 

▪ Data assembly and report analytics linked to attendance figures by level and group. 

▪ Establishing and building pastoral relationships between staff and students, cooperating with information requests from outside operatives including the Department of Work and Pensions & Leeds City Council. 

▪ Processing, updating and maintaining student records with involved participation in enrolment and induction processes.

Starbucks Soul Coffee House - Store Supervisor (2018 - 2023)

▪ Direction and deliverance of sales with consideration of daily business targets and customer care responsibilities.

▪ Completion of store maintenance to identify and correct front-of-house and back-of-house environments, to ensure all health, safety and hygiene measures are met.
