Experience

PMO Manager (Contract) – mydentist – Apr-23 to Present

  • Establishing new PMO governance arrangements and providing PMO support to the ‘Phoenix Programme’ – replacing legacy back-office systems to improve BAU activities at 500+ sites across the UK (£13.7m)
  • Responsible for maintaining the risks and issues log, dependency management, resource mapping, weekly highlight reports and other reporting activities at Executive / Steering Committee and Board levels
  • Working with third-party system implementers and internal mydentist teams to closely monitor spend (including invoice management) and delivery activities against budgetary targets and detailed plans

PMO Manager / Programme Manager (Contract) – Pinnacle Group – Aug-22 to Mar-23

  • Provided PMO support to the delivery of Pinnacle’s IT Plan, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence / Defence Infrastructure Organisation, assisting 39,000 service families across the UK
  • Engaging with senior Pinnacle stakeholders to establish and manage a Portfolio of IT and business change projects, while completing regular progress reporting at all governance levels throughout the organisation
  • Working closely in partnership with Sopra Steria (Pinnacle’s MSP) to define project requirements, assign and map suitable expertise and resource, and deliver testing activities to plan

PMO Manager (Contract) – Bank North – Oct-21 to Jul-22

  • Provided PMO support to the delivery of the ‘Build the Bank’ Programme and associated change initiatives with the objective of obtaining a full banking license
  • Established a new PMO at the Bank as well as developed a new change management process, with associated supporting documents / material, to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of change initiatives
  • Developed and maintained programme / project plans and risk and issue logs while managing regular reporting cycles, including the development of status and progress reports for review at Board level
  • Supported the completion of regulatory deliverables and other accompanying material for submission to the FCA and PRA as part of conditions to exit mobilisation and obtain a full banking license

PMO Manager and Project Manager (Contract) – North Cheshire Developments / Apr-18 to Oct-21

  • Managed a varied team across multiple business areas to deliver all project planning and funding application activities for a high-end hotel resort in The Bahamas (estimated development cost of $83m)
  • Responsible for funding application material including the development a project data room including business case documents, cashflow forecast, site appraisals, supply chain details and architectural designs

PMO Manager and Project Manager (Contract) – Caspia Management / Oct-15 to Apr-18

  • Established a PMO to manage planning activities between multiple projects at various stages
  • Managed the residential re-development of a derelict high-rise apartment block in Liverpool (£3.5m) as well as funding and planning material for pipeline projects in Great Manchester (£2.5m to £5m)

Project Manager (Contract) – Arrow Global / May-15 to Oct-15

  • Managed a team of IT and data specialists to rationalising a panel of over 30 external service providers to a core group of eight, to reduce expenditure, all while ensuring service levels were maintained
  • Responsible for the set-up of a new reporting framework to better integrate project monitoring and control activity into the heavily regulated corporate risk framework

Project Manager – United Utilities / Jul-13 to May-15

  • Designed a new change management framework for non-project management employees
  • Managed a team of business analysts and data specialists to develop a new Data Governance and Management framework to support the company’s preparations for market de-regulation (£3m)

Senior Project Manager – Manchester Airports Group / Nov-10 to Jul-13

  • Established and ran the PMO for a group-wide Transformation Programme responsible for the Operational Improvement Programme covering cost reduction / efficiency improvement activities
  • Implemented the 2013 Car Park Enhancement Programme, creating 3,000 new car park spaces (£1.25m)

MBA Student – Lancaster MBA Programme / Sep-09 to Jun-10

  • Completed the Lancaster University Business School MBA programme (FT ranked top 10 in the UK and top 100 world-wide) on a self-funded and full-time basis

Project Manager – KI Project Management / Sep-07 to Sep-09
