I currently work 2 days a week as an IT Consultant, responsible for the installation, management, security and maintenance of local school’s ICT networks and devices.
I am keen to take on more responsibility utilising my ICT skills, ideally working from home.
Experience
Key Relevant Experience
- Provided office and IT support to local headquarters and multi-site infrastructure with approximately 150 permanent personnel and an annual rotation of approximately 5,000 students.
- Developed and delivered written user guidelines during the roll-out of a new IT platform. Interpreting technical jargon and utilizing effective communications skills being pivotal to users understanding, which facilitated in bringing users on-board, boosting their confidence and embracing fundamental changes.
- Demonstrated an excellent eye for detail whilst volunteering as the Editor for an organization’s quarterly magazine. This responsibility included the timely gathering of content, proof-reading, publication and distribution of 2,500 copies. By implementing a production management tool, target dates were never delayed and publication was always on time.
- Routinely applied extensive knowledge of all MS Office applications which included creating Excel spreadsheets for inputting personnel training records and tracking approximately 1,700 assets. Also developed PowerPoint presentations as an aid to lesson delivery and business demonstrations.
- Proficient in basic office applications including Teams, SharePoint, O365, OneDrive Cloud and Web Design, whilst also adept in learning other unfamiliar IT software platforms.
- Through regularly representing senior management at meetings and briefings, confidently provided summaries, commentary and basic analysis of data for back-briefing or onward transmission.
- Used outstanding negotiating and influencing skills to ensure personnel completed relevant training and submitted evidence in a timely fashion for input into Management reports.
- Adept at understanding and interpreting Government , business policies and local procedures and identified a need to improve processes by introducing a task management database. This allowed personnel to submit their tasks digitally, which transformed efficiency and increased productivity.
