Hi - I'm Diane.
My career started in the pub business. Having started a young woman waitressing in Beefeater Steak House I slowly worked my way up through assistant manager and finally general manager in 1989.
After a 20-year career break raising my 3 beautiful kids, I returned into the customer service sector holding multiple roles such as; Sales Assistants, Customer Service Agents, & General Admin at companies including: Tesco's, The Range, Card Factory & others.
Additionally, I also had the pleasure of my most meaningful role to date, having worked in the private care sector. Conducting 1-2-1 private care with a patient with severe disability, which extended to overnight and multi-day stays.
In addition to this, for the last several years I have also been the primary customer care contact for an upscale AIRBNB rental property.
Experience
March 2017 - Present, Paignton - Customer Experience Manager @ AIRBNB Property:
- Responsible for customer experience at said property, including check in, change-over, check out & reservation alterations.
- Primary contact for call-outs including: general issues, amenities management & maintenance co-ordination.
Sept 2017- Feb 2018, Paignton - Customer Service Rep at The Range:
- Worked in a high intensity, fast paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Jobs included assisting customers with a variety of needs, stock rotation and shelf stocking, balancing the till, and ensuring store tidiness.
- Handled large sums of money responsibly.
June 2015- September 2017, Paignton- Care worker (personal care):
- Took a position of responsibility and trustworthiness by looking after a disabled individual which included overnight stays additional to day care.
- Assisted in her daily routine which required strong organisational skills and timekeeping such as preparing the day in advance and watching the timing of medication.
- Wholly took care of housework which included washing, ironing, shopping and preparing meals.
October 2012- March 2015, Paignton- Care home cleaner with Saffron Ltd:
- Initially taken on as a cleaner with the responsibility of cleaning 22 rooms to a high standard in a residential home.
- Exercised strong sense of flexibility when there was a significant change in hours.
- Often filled in for the chef during his long absences which included ordering food, stock rotation, preparing daily meals, ensuring a high level of hygiene and being aware of dietary needs.
December 2010-April 2011, Paignton- Sales assistant at the Card Factory Ltd:
- Responsibilities included serving customers, taking different performs of payment, assisting with any queries and keeping the store in order.
- Keeping stock at full level and ensuring successful stock rotation.
March 2008- August 2010, Highbridge – Sales assistant at Tesco Express:
- Worked in a high intensity, fast paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Jobs included assisting customers with a variety of needs, stock rotation and shelf stocking, balancing the till, and ensuring store tidiness.

January 2002- January 2006, Paignton – Assistant at Torbay Electric Light Company:
- Duties included window dressing and using discretion on which items to be on display.
- Assembling electric compliances for display purposes and also keeping the store in a representable manner.
February 1986- August 1990, London – Manager at Beefeater Steak House restaurants:
- Initially an assistant manager for the first 2 years and then progressed to a managerial role.
- Jobs thereafter included employing and training staff and handling over 100 members of staff.
- Programming seasonal menu changes.
- Handling and distributing wages, banking the takings and carrying out detailed stocktaking.
